This resource is designed to support teacher–pupil conferencing in narrative writing for Key Stage 1 (particularly Year 2) children.

• Conferencing Question Sheet – A structured set of age-appropriate prompts to guide purposeful discussions about writing. Questions encourage children to reflect on vocabulary, action words (verbs), sensory detail and how their choices affect the reader.
• Optional Response Record – A companion sheet where pupils can jot down their answers and targets. This helps consolidate learning and provides a simple record of feedback to refer back to during editing.
