This activity helps children build confidence in recognising vowels and consonants within words. Pupils are asked to highlight vowels, highlight consonants and fill in missing consonants in given words. They are also challenged to create their own words containing specific combinations of vowels and consonants. This is a flexible resource that can be used as a starter or a quick recap.
